Everyone likes a fresh new start. If you want to wake up neat, with glowing skin, then you totally must take off all your makeup. You’re doing your skin a favor by taking off your makeup at night. Sleeping with your face makeup on can lead to dry skin, acne, clogged pores and even wrinkles which is caused by collagen breakdown.

The 5 steps…

1.  Start With Breaking Down The Makeup

You can use a cleanser to breakdown and melt off the foundation and blush. If your skin doesn’t react well to cleansers, try using a balm or go right ahead to a regular face cleanser. Make sure to wipe your face in circular motions with a face brush if there’s any available, don’t forget under your chin, hairline, and around your ears. On the other hand, you can use a makeup remover and some pads to get rid of the top layer.

2.  Cleanse Once More

This is to tackle the makeup remnants now, you can use a gentle formula that won’t dry out your face. Make sure you go gentle on your face. You can use an oil-based cleanser or oil formula again to break down any remnants.

3.  Give Attention To The eyes

Do not pull around your eyes, apply cotton pads drenched with some eye makeup remover gently. You should close your eyes and hold the pads over your eyelids and lashes for the products to soften. Then you can wipe the product remnants off. Remember rubbing your eyes will cause wrinkles and might affect your lashes making them break off, so be gentle.

4.  Wipe Your Face

You use a clean cotton pad to wipe any excess debris, cleanser and makeup remover from the face. You can soak the cotton in some micellar water to get things extra clean.
Now it’s time to tone, apply any serums and moisturize for the night’s rest ahead! You’re ready to wake up to a glowing face and get on with your day.

5.  You Can Now Apply Moisturizers

Now that you’ve removed your makeup and cleansed your face, you can follow up with any toner, moisturizer, or serums you like to prefer. So when you wake up in the morning, you’ll be ready to take on the day with clean skin.
